Market research info on the urban/hip hop clothing market?
I have a socially conscious based clothing line targeting the urban market. I am in the business planing phase and stuck on the market research part .
the last report i read , this is a 400million a year market, but that dont make sense because Roca Wear alone did over 700million in sales in 2006...
im trying to find something free.

This question is a little bit difficult to answer as you have not provided the country you are targeting. Or are you targeting the whole world?
The industry reports you are reading are usually based on the individual country rather than world market. However, company reports will list their worldwide sales. Hope this clears up why the numbers do not make sense.

The results of any advertising or promotions is more targeted when you do your research. Why waste money when you can find out what doesn't work! Learn about matching your product or service with specific customers looking for what you have with articles, data and reports. And use reputable sources like eMarketer for web based business.
Don't spend too much time looking at competition, you don't want to miss opportunites or trends, but keep an eye on what they do and see if its adaptable in a better format for you.
