Highlight the impotance of markting research to the implementation of the marketing philosophy?

If you didn't have market research, who would you sell to? who would your customers be? Market research is important because not only do you find out who your potential customers are, but where they live, their income, geographic demographics etc. You also know HOW to price your product competitively, by comparing similar products sold by other companies.
